Apocalypse
If I was one of the select few left on earth after a devastating occurrence happened I would do my best to secure a location with lots and lots of rations, preferably canned goods and stock up on weapons for self-defense because with no laws or government you never know what could happen. I would try to have a small amount of people with me, preferably three others, who could help me out with gathering necessary components for survival and so I don't go crazy because of being alone and having no one to talk to. I would try to find a good place to stay permanently, I would not roam around looking for more people because it could be to riskey and who knows if the people that i might come across would be friendly or not or if they would pose a threat towards me or my companions. So basically I would try to find a steady and reliable food source and and a place to permanently settle down in.

To Mrs. R:
"Danny - Did you see this comment? The important part of his response alerts you to the dangers of assuming that you know what someone else's motives are. Hmmm. What did you learn from this?"
Well I learned that not all people on the web are the nicest or that understanding of my beliefs, such as Ken Clark. The way I see it is that he has a negative outlook on life and he's not the type of person the I want to aspire to be like. I would want to be more like Clark Kent, aka Superman, because he's saves people in distress, and seems to be an all-around good person and I believe that if I lead a good life and do my best to be an all-around good admirable, commendable person that the god(s) up there, whether it be a Allah, the christian god, or Athena and Zeus themselves would grant me with Superman's special powers so that I can carry on my life of saving and helping people in need just a bit easier with the gift from my god(s).

Ken Clark
After reading Kyle's blog on super heroes and a criticing comment by the anonomous "Ken" talking about his mistakes on Superman info and how his name was actually Clark Kent, not Ken Clark i thought to myself, why would a middle aged man, as he claims he is, be searching his name on differant things online and feel the need to comment on a highschooler's blog and point out the mistakes that the person made on there blog. I mean, I see why other out-of-country people would perseve us a a little strange when there are bigger and more important things that attention should be called to first. But if you think about it, thats what's great about this country, WE CAN CHOOSE to blog all day

New School, New Beginning
This school year was a big change for me in the sense that Im at a whole new school where none of the teachers know me and its a whole new scenery. I believe this change was a step forward in my life because it gave me a chance to have a fresh start. I needed this new start because I really needed a new beginning because I have always struggled with school and getting all my work done and studying for test, ect. And now this year I have a new chance to get organized and started doing things in new ways such as using my agenda instead of just trying to remember things and end up forgetting different assignments. I've found that using my agenda has helped me get my grades beck on track and to keep a clear head and not always be trying to remember certain assignments or when tests or quizzes are. I also now use this year which I haven't ever used in the past is different folders, notebooks, and binders versus my old system of one big notebook, one big stack of papers, and booklet of handouts. I believe that these new strategies have helped me start getting good grades and will hopefully help me keep them at a level I want to see them at.
I Would Compare Myself To...
I would compare myself to a lighter's flame. I believe that I am like a flame because the flame can grow to a massive, out of control blaze which I and every other person can become because everyone at some point in time hits there breaking point or so angry that they become out of control. And also people can stay at a constant emotion or in comparison to the flame it can stay at a steady, consistent length and power, not overwhelmingly big or large and not so small that it doesn’t get the basic required jobs done. And because the flame strength of a lighter can become so small that it doesn’t do the things that it was intended to do or that can do them to only the bare minimum which is kind of like some people, they don’t make much noise or cause many things to be affected by them which can be good and bad depending on the situation that one might be in. But I strive to be at a normal consistent rate, not to loud and not to quite, just try to be participating in my activities but not cause a distraction to others or myself.

When I Grow Up
When I was little I always wanted to become a professional baseball player and play Short Stop for the New York Yankees and I had that dream for years and years. I had that dream until i learned my odds of getting there, slim and none. I realized that only the top two percent of the best college baseball players make it to the major leagues but only the top two percent of the top two percent are successful at it. I now realize that if I want to have a good chance at having a successful money making life I need to excel in school and get great grades and probably get my masters in something because by the time I get out of college I will be competing with people from all around the world in the job field who may have their masters already and if I want to have a good chance of getting the job I'll be best off getting a higher degree than just my under-grad. And to add to that load, stress, or those challenges, it would also be a great key to be able to be bi-lingual. Those I believe are some of the key challenges that someone fresh out into the world from their college experiences should expect to face.

A Journey I Intend to Take
I intend to take a journey to to New York City. While there i plan to see a New York Yankees in the new yankee baseball stadium. I want to go there because my favorite sport to watch is baseball and my favorite player plays on that team. My favorite player is Derek Jeter and he is my favorite player because he plays the same position in baseball as I do, Short Stop. And he seems to be a good, classy player. It would be a fun trip to take and NYC would be a good place to tour with my family.
Blog Expectations
My name is Danny. This is my super fly blog, which I will personalize and make my own ( but not post pics of myself on or use my last name on). I will always use appropriate language on my school blog and follow the conventions of the English language. The expectation for this assignment is that I post on my blog once a week for the remainder of the school year. I am expected to comment on texts that I am viewing in the world around me. These might include, but are not limited to: books, magazines, movies, internet articles, televisiopn, shows, trips to museums, etc. Each post should should be at least 200 words. Each weekly post is due by 8am on that wednesday. therefore, Q1 due dates are : 9/17, 2/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, and 10/29. That makes for a total of 7 posts this first quarter. I understand that blogs are worth 100 pts per quarter and are graded hostistically ( That means there will be no specific grading rubic). I also understand that blogging is a significant component of my quarter grade. By the way, what I have just typed is only 196 words! Now it is 200!
